I have a question about the rain barrel program: Are there any restrictions on the placement of rain barrels on a property (i.e. front of house/rear of house) or the number of rain barrels one can have installed? For instance, if I have 4 downspouts can I disconnect all of them? I know that the City will provide only 1 rain barrel, but it would be feasible to purchase others...

Thanks for your interest in the Rainwater Harvesting program! We are currently not installing rain barrels to be visible from the street and they would therefore need to be placed in the back (or side) of the property. The City will install one barrel per property, but the barrels come equipped to allow for additional barrels to be connected should you decide that you want to collect more rainwater.
Correction to Previous Post: There is no restriction to where the rain barrels can be installed. The rain barrel expert who visits the property will determine where is the best place to position the barrel regardless of whether it's in the front, side or back of the property. Sorry for the confusion here.
